Hero it’s a different guy. But how different? Good? Bad? To define quite perfectly a hero, let’s compare him with his opposite: the rebel. The rebel is the one who fight against the society and the system. He is a revolutionary. He has the desire to change, to ask himself if the world is really working. And now, what is a hero? I’m afraid that he is exactly like the rebel, he fights. And the most curious thing is that these two words are defined quite equally in the dictionary. Both of them are champions. The rebel is revolutionary, fighter, guilty and insubordinate. And if we analyze the definition of hero, we can even conclude that the hero is worse qualified than his opposite: charlatan, mercenary, somebody, and false god.

We can apply this theory to the reality. Rosa Parks, Mahatma Gandhi, Che Guevara, De Gaulle, all of them became who they are today, fighting, disobeying the system.

But we can’t exclude the “good ones”, the persons who became hero by their purpose, and their abilities, like John Kennedy, Martin Luther King, and the Dalaï Lama Etc.

2014 FIFA World Cup

FIFA World Cup 2014 will be in Brazil ! This will be the second time the country has hosted the competition, the first being the 1950 FIFA World Cup. Brazil will become the fifth country to have hosted the FIFA World Cup twice, after Mexico, Italy, France, and Germany. It will be the first World Cup to have been held in South America since the 1978 FIFA World Cup in Argentina.

On 3 June 2003, CONMEBOL announced that Argentina, Brazil, and Colombia wanted to host the 2014 World Cup finals. Brazil formally declared its candidacy in December 2006 and Colombia did so as well a few days later. The Argentina bid never materialized. On 11 April 2007, Colombia officially withdrew its bid making Brazil the only official candidate to host the event in 2014. Brazil won the right to host the event on 30 October 2007 as the only country to enter a bid.

The Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) estimates that the cost of construction and remodeling of stadiums alone will be over $1.1 billion US, or some £550 million. In addition to the stadium upgrades and renovations, there will be millions more spent on basic infrastructure needs to get the country ready.

The cities chosen as host cities are: São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Belo Horizonte, Porto Alegre, Brasília, Cuiabá, Curitiba, Fortaleza, Natal, Salvador, Recife, and Manaus.

Ushuaia

Ushuaia is the capital of the Argentine province of Tierra del Fuego. It is commonly regarded as the southernmost city in the world. Ushuaia is located in a wide bay on the southern coast of the island of Tierra del Fuego. In Ushuaia, the climate is freezing all year, with the maximum temperature reaching only 16°C! In winter the temperature reaches minus 5°C! In addition, the wind is always blowing, especially in the cold period. I remember when I first visited the town, I couldn’t even walk, the wind was pushing me backwards!

But let’s talk about good things: snow. Ushuaia is one of the only cities that have snow on the mountains all year, which is very good for the local economy.

The tourism is the main activity of the town. It’s from Ushuaia that the principal departures to Antartic are made.

I went there in April 2008, and it was awsome! I recommend the experience!

House Series

House is an American television medical drama, created in 2004. The show’s central character is Dr. Gregory House (Hugh Laurie), an unconventional medical genius who heads a team of diagnosticians at the fictional Princeton‑Plainsboro Teaching Hospital in New Jersey. The character has similarities to Sherlock Holmes: both are forensic geniuses, musicians, drug users, aloof, and largely friendless. This show is one of the most influents in the United States.

Personally I think is the best series I’ve ever watched. Gregory House it’s a genius but mean while he is fun, misanthropic and very cynical. I bought all the five seasons that came out already! I recommend!

Monday 17^th August 2009, Usain Bolt beats his own record. He ran one hundred meters in 9.58 secondsthe last record was 9.69 seconds – in the Athletics World Championship in Berlin. The Jamaican has already become a legend in the sport’s world. I am his fan because I realize how hard his life was in childhood. It makes me happy when I see someone like Bolt winning such a prize. He is charismatic and fun. It is, with any doubt, an inspiration for me.
